I think you need to delete all characters to move for free, or if its very low population it might be free anyway. Though don't just take my word for it. That only works if OP have bought the game. Free account does not seem to be able to move for free by deleting all characters. You can't switch servers since you're on a free Account.
Here's a few troubleshooting steps you can take before contacting support: Locate your local.dat file—which by default is stored in your Documents> Guild Wars 2 folder—and delete it. Next find your Gw2.tmp file—typically found in your C:\Program Files (x86)\Guild Wars 2 folder—and delete it as well. After both files have been deleted
If you only have a level 1 character, delete it and change servers for free. Or, as the other comment said, you get a free transfer when you buy an expansion. Regarding your question, yes, you can transfer your account server once every 7 days but it will cost you gems. This is all assuming the tier 1 server you’re moving to is open for transfer.
My home server, Fort Aspenwood, was a Kurzick landmark and was/still kind of is a major wvw server. I picked the server my friends were playing on. During the original beta. The issue i see with WvW servers is that its notabout how many active players there is but about how little drama there is. Drakkar Lake and Millers Sound are both german Guild Wars 2. Times when I can transfer to full server? Zedx 4 years ago #1. I've been trying to transfer to a server where most of my guildies are, but it has been weeks and it is full for Fort Aspenwood server. I've been checking whenever I logged in to see the server is full everytime. Been having the "connection lost" pop up issue since yesterday evening NZ time. It is definitely not fixed because it has happened constantly since I updated my game and logged in a few minutes ago. Also something funny happening with the login screen not being able to login sometimes. 1. 1. SEA Malaysia here. I've been getting massive ping spikes since the Exalted update last week. My connection had been a constant 200-300ms and had no skill delays etc. After the update, it went up to 4k in events. Previously I'd be very comfortable playing pinata or even leyline events.
As such, it is possible to transfer onto a full server by trying at a different time of day. Try checking during off-peak hours, such as early in the morning. I've heard from several guildmates that they've had success transferring onto a normally "Full" world this way. Share. Improve this answer.
